192.com’s astonishing growth in popularity continues as millions of new users flock to the site.
Last month, the UK’s leading people-finding website received 7.3 million visits, smashing the previous record of 5.8 million in April. In May of last year, this figure was 2.8 million.
In just one day 192.com recorded 330,000 unique users, just three weeks after exceeding 300,000 unique users for the first time.
Dominic Blackburn, Product Director of 192.com said: “This popularity is testament to our growing reputation for reuniting family and friends, for providing free directory enquiries, and for providing a means of ID checking people and businesses.”
192.com now has over 5 million unique users a month, and traffic from Apple and Android smart phones shot up 40% since the start of the year, with i192, the site’s app for iPhones described as ‘awesome’ by the watchdog, Which?
“192.com’s 700 million records dwarf those of rival directory enquiry companies who typically only have access to 15 million listings,” explained Blackburn, “Our users are increasingly aware of this. We have some very exciting products launching in the next couple of months so watch this space!”
